CodeMote puts your Claude Code terminal on your iPhone’s lock screen — push notifications fire when the agent needs approval, and you answer from anywhere.
The app pairs an iOS device to your desktop or VPS and streams the real terminal session. No file sync, no cloud copy of your repo. The core capabilities:
- Live terminal on lock screen — see agent output without unlocking
- Push on approval — notifications when Claude Code or Codex needs a decision
- Full diffs and git flow — review changes and commit from the phone
- Any CLI agent — Claude Code, Codex, or anything else in your terminal
- Pairing in seconds — no SSH tunnel setup or port forwarding
The builder’s stated motivation hits a specific pain: “start Claude Code, wait 20 minutes, answer one question, wait again.” That’s the workflow gap CodeMote targets — the dead time between agent handoffs where you’re tethered to a desk for a single keystroke.
CodeMote ships as a native iOS app (iPhone and iPad, including Vision) plus a VS Code extension on Open VSX. The extension bridges the desktop workspace; the app is the remote.
NOTE
CodeMote connects to your existing local sessions — it doesn’t host agents or run code in the cloud. Your machine stays the execution environment.
Available now on the App Store and Open VSX Registry. Free to pair; the App Store listing has current pricing tiers.
