Replit now monitors your published apps and sends alerts when they go down — before your users notice. App Monitoring pairs uptime tracking with Replit Agent, which can dig through logs and production data to help fix the problem.
The pitch is straightforward: building the app was the easy part. Keeping it alive is where vibe-coded projects quietly die. Until now, a crashed Replit deployment meant waiting for an angry user to tell you about it.
What the monitoring dashboard covers, per Replit’s docs:
- Real-time status — whether your app is online, with uptime tracking
- Performance metrics — resource usage and analytics in one view
- Configuration controls — modify deployment settings without redeploying
- Agent-assisted debugging — Replit Agent investigates issues by reading logs and production data, then suggests or applies fixes
That last point is the interesting one. Monitoring dashboards are table stakes — Vercel, Railway, and Fly.io all have them. The differentiator is Agent integration. When your app throws errors at 2 AM, Replit Agent can sift through logs, identify the failure, and walk you through a fix (or just apply it). For someone who built the app by prompting rather than writing code, that matters. You may not know how to read a stack trace. Agent does.
NOTE
App Monitoring applies to published (deployed) apps on Replit. If you’re running a project in the editor without publishing, this doesn’t apply.
This fits Replit’s broader play: they’ve recently shipped an SEO Agent that scans and fixes discoverability issues, pushing further into post-build automation. The pattern is clear — Replit wants to own the full lifecycle, not just the “generate code” step.
App Monitoring is live now for published apps. If you’ve deployed anything on Replit and walked away, this is worth checking — your app may already be down and you don’t know it.
